Dear Delegates,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you all to the fifth edition of SMISMUN- a passion project of ours that will hopefully leave an impact on the Hyderabad MUN circuit for the years to come. Our close-knit secretariat has put in immense effort over the months to try to make this event the best it possibly can for you, to foster an environment of not just excellence and respect, but also one of happiness and enjoyment.
 

Every “munner” one day dreams of leading their own school’s conference, and it is a huge honour that I was selected to be the secretary general for this one. With my very first offline MUN being SMISMUN 2022, it’s only right that I dedicate my last year at Sancta Maria to make this year’s rendition its best one yet. It is finally time for me to do so with the help of my wonderful secretariat, the faculty, the esteemed executive board members and you, the delegates!
 

This year, we plan to bring a cultural twist to pretty much every aspect of our conference, be it in the marketing, the committees or the much-awaited social night. We aim to dig deep into our roots and organise an absolutely unforgettable edition of SMISMUN. Above all, our priority is to give you as delegates a chance to show off skills of diplomacy, to connect with students all across Hyderabad and enjoy our socials to their fullest.

I would also like to thank our principal, Mrs. Hemalatha Sanjay, our MUN coordinator, Mrs. Anu Thampan and all of the teacher mentors that have had to deal with us throughout this entire organising process. This MUN would not be possible without their constant support. Last but certainly not the least, I want to express the tremendous gratitude I feel towards the highly dedicated secretariat. I couldn’t have possibly asked for a better team.
